for the Largest Cybersecurity Event in the Region @Hack



The Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones has announced that the registration is open for the largest cybersecurity event in the region, @Hack, which will be held later in November, within Riyadh season 2021’s activities. In partnership between the Federation and the General Entertainment Authority, also, Informatech and BlackHat.

This global event, which is considered the largest cybersecurity event in the region, is being held at the Riyadh Front, one of the central entertainment areas in the Riyadh season 2021, and the most rich and attractive place for extraordinary events for all ages, where it connects global investors and manufacturers with those interested in the Kingdom and its visitors from abroad.

The event, which is being held for the first time in the Kingdom, includes unique activities to transfer expertise and develop the field of cybersecurity, by hosting experts from Offensive Security for training in information security, while hosting the largest “Capture the Flag” challenge of its kind in MENA, and the challenge of the “BugBounty platform” with one million riyals prize pool.

@Hack event is preceded by training courses in cybersecurity for several different levels and hosts the “Executive Summit” in which cyber experts from around the world gather to transfer their expertise and knowledge in the field and build professional relationships, and a space dedicated to presenting studies and research in the field of cybersecurity for experts, as well as @Hack Arsenal to showcase open source tools developed by hackers and cybersecurity experts. In addition to highlighting 17 sectors, including applied security, cryptography, data forensics, incident response, Internet of Things, malware, network defense, platform security, mobility, policy, reverse engineering, application security as well as smart grid and industrial security, There is also an interactive space for exchanging technical opinions, building professional relationships, and many entertainment activities.

The event will witness @Hack Challenges, which are competitions in the field of cybersecurity with prizes worth up to 1,000,000 riyals, divided into two challenges that will continue throughout the days of the event. The first is Capture the Flag, a competition between the top 1000 participants divided into teams, who will be eliminated in a mini challenge that precedes the event. Also, the BugBounty Platform challenge, takes place on the first day of the event and lasts for eight continuous hours, with the participation of the best 80 security researchers in the various platforms in the region, who will compete to solve and discover vulnerabilities for the companies participating in the challenge. The winners will be announced on the last day of the event.

The official announcement of the event came last August, as part of the largest tech launch of its kind in MENA, LaunchKSA, where the Kingdom announced numbers of exceptional initiatives and technical programs; To enhance digital capabilities, achieve our goal of having a programmer out of every 100 Saudis by 2030, encourage innovation and creativity, and reach global leadership.

This comes as an interpretation of the guidance of the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's vision to seize the opportunities of the digital economy.
